What is Numerology?

Numerology is the study of the meanings and vibrations of numbers. It is a system that believes that numbers have a deep spiritual significance and can be used to understand a person’s personality, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as predict their future.

How Does Numerology Work?

In numerology, every letter of the alphabet is assigned a number, and these numbers are used to calculate various numerological readings, such as a person’s life path number, destiny number, and soul urge number. These readings can provide insight into a person’s characteristics, relationships, and life purpose.

To calculate a person’s life path number, for example, the numerologist will add together the digits of their birth date and reduce the sum to a single digit (with the exception of the master numbers 11 and 22, which are not reduced). The resulting number is believed to represent the person’s unique path in life and can provide insight into their strengths, challenges, and potential.

The Different Types of Numerology Systems

There are several different numerology systems, including Pythagorean, Chaldean, and Kabbalah. Each system has its own unique way of calculating numerological readings and interpreting their meanings.

Pythagorean numerology is the most common system used in the Western world and is based on the teachings of the ancient Greek mathematician Pythagoras. It assigns numbers to letters using a specific alphabet numerology chart and calculates readings based on a person’s name and birth date.

Chaldean numerology, on the other hand, is an ancient system developed by the Chaldeans, a civilization that lived in present-day Iraq. It assigns numerical values to letters based on their vibrations and energy.
